(Nearest overground station: Battersea Park. I’m aware train strikes are scheduled on this date but hoping the dispute will be resolved by then, if not I suspect I will be spending five hours talking to myself with a crate of wine and a few records to keep me company.... actually that sounds a lot like a normal day in the studio!)
Shapeshifter and The Unfaithful Servant are part of an ongoing series of prints and paintings, inspired by the plaintive tree stumps that punctuate Brockwell Park. The works are odes to these once majestic trees that have been reduced to melancholic relics; petrified shadows of their former selves, wounded, ruined and exposed... yet they still seem to possess an innate majesty and power. They appear to me as sentinels; benign, wounded giants, harbingers and prophets of doom.
Fires Were Started depicts an event that may have happened, may not have happened but could have happened. The image has a vague biblical resonance but is also slightly enigmatic. Is it the narration of teenage kicks going awry, or are the fleeing trio witness to a supernatural phenomenon....

Brighton Marathon Update
Honestly, this'll be the last time I mention the Brighton Marathon...
I wanted to thank everyone for their support, enthusiasm and good wishes. It has really meant a lot and I was so touched by your generosity. The actual run itself was at times quite an emotional affair due to the spirit and atmosphere of goodwill that the event conjures up. You have helped raise a mighty £2,200 (and rising) for the NSPCC and they are so grateful.
For those who are interested in facts and figures, my time was 4h 14m 36s.
Read my lips, "never again!"
Mx
A huge thank you to everyone who has so far sponsored me for the 2022 Brighton Marathon on Sunday 10 April. Just a week to go and I have already raised 80% of my target for the NSPCC.
I realise that the world has got a lot darker, and poorer, since my first post about the marathon - but if you are able to donate even £1, that would be fantastic. Use the button below to make a donation directly to NSPCC via my JustGiving page.
(And just in case you thought I was running in fancy dress... sadly not, it's hard enough running in a vest and shorts let alone a matchbox!)
The mighty FEAST returns to West Norwood! I will be selling my normal range of original prints and paintings alongside tea towels, mugs, cards etc.
Sunday 3 April, 10am - 4pm
West Norwood Feast

Delighted to have a few small paintings in this great little exhibition at the mighty Pavilion
Woodfield Pavilion
6a Abbotswood Rd
SW16 1AP
Meet the artists / PV - SATURDAY 19TH FEBRUARY 1PM - 4 PMish
The end is nigh for my 'Shadows Of Former Selves' exhibition at the Woodfield Pavilion. However don't despair, you have one last opportunity to savour it as I will be hosting a closing party on:
Sunday 30 January
1pm-4pm
Woodfield Pavilion
16a Abbotswood Road
Tooting Common, SW16 1AP
The show is a kaleidoscopic journey through various aspects of my work. From large landscape paintings to small studies of petrified tree stumps, via bespoke bus stops and record portraits, which give way to illustrative and enigmatic screen prints, turning smoothly into a period of procrastination before concluding with a vignette of wildflower prints.
Refreshments will be provided.
